Welcome

Thank you for being here! First and foremost, this is a safe space. It is an environment where black women first responders (EMTs/Medics, Firefighters, Police Officers) are celebrated and appreciated. BWFR can share their experiences and find a community of encouragement. While black women are by no means monolithic, we do share the intersectional experience of racism and sexism, especially within the workplace. The purpose of this website is to share my narrative, my story, in hopes that the many black women do not feel alone and know that there is support available.
